Homemade Christmas Ornaments

Homemade Ornaments by Lynne Forsythe

Every year I like to add a new ornament or two to my collection.
Do your Christmas ornaments tell a story?
I know mine do…..
Places I’ve been,
Handmade ones from the kids as they grown,
Gifts from Friends and Family.

Now that both of my children have moved out.
I thought I would create ornaments for them this year.

Homemade Ornaments by Lynne Forsythe

For my first ornament, I used
TCW481 ~ North Star

TCW481NorthStar

I applied Lime Green Shimmering Matte Artist Acrylic paint
onto a 20″ x 2.5″ piece of Canvas Corp Brands Canvas through the
above template.

When dry, I tore the canvas into three 3/4″ pieces.

I wrapped the pieces around a 3″ styrofoam ball
and adhered with flat head straight pins and Multi Medium.
I accented the ball with Canvas Corp Brands Red ~ Hemp Rope
and Natural ~ Jute,
Petaloo ~ White ~ Mini Burlap Blossoms and Velvet Leaves.

For the second ornament….

I pulled out a piece of French Script on Ivory Tissuestock
and applied Gold ~ Shimmering Matter Artist Acrylic Paint

I then cut three 3/4″ x 12″ pieces of stenciled Tissuestock
and the same from a piece Canvas Corp Brands Ivory Burlap.

I also adhered the pieces with pins and Multi Medium.
I decorate with various gold trims.
