Stenciled Project Life Cards

Hi there.

Lydell with you again today with a stack of really easy PL Pocket page cards that I created for my stash!  I am always looking for a cute card to poke in between my photos in my weekly spreads….But these can be used as elements on a card or a Layout as well.

I cut up some water colour paper for the wet media, and just some regular Cardstock for the Distress ink cards, into 3×4 cards.

I got out my stencils and my palette knife and texture paste!I

Next I chose some TCW stencils.

I used a LOT!

I laid each on top of the cards and swiped over it with texture paste with a palette knife

Next I punched out a punch from Palette Paper and laid that under the stencil, (masking off an area)…. then applied the texture paste on top through the stencil.

This looks great too!

I quite like the look of the negative as well after the card was removed….So I did one on a 12×12 sheet of cardstock to scrap on at a later date!  I really like this!!!

Remove the card (this is perfect to colour and use in a spread as well…So pretty!)

And the page with the card removed……

It will be a lovely base to build on.

I used the sheet I punched a star from earlier and am using the negative space to stencil though this time……

And another one using a rectangle piece to mask off an area…..

Speaking of masking here is one where the stencil is being used as a mask to stamp through…..

Now moving onto Distress Ink.  The foam tool helps apply the ink smoothly.  It turns out beautifully.

did the same to the stencil below,

but instead of cleaning off the stencil after I had done the card, I spritzed it with water and then placed another card ontop to get a watercolour print with the ink left on the stencil!

Its fun to stencil with distress inks and blend colours together too!

Love this effect!

and here are some of the completed cards with some stickers and bits and pieces added…..

It was fun having a play today with a stack of cards, just trying different things, and seeing what happened!  I have a lovely collection to use in my Project Life album!

Thanks for dropping in and have a great day!
