Stencil Doodling.

Welcome to the Crafters Workshop Blog today!

I am sharing a journal page I did sitting watching TV the other night, using some stencils, my handmade watercolour Journal, some Distress Markers and an Aquawash Brush.

Here’s a quick run through of what I did…..

I selected some stencils that had small detailed patterns that I could trace with a fine tipped black pen (waterproof)  I fount the Art Stencil then, that had an image I could trace, that was wide and open, which could house all the smaller detailed patterns.

I chose  (Find all the designs HERE)

TCW488-Viva La Art,

TCW492S-Kasia’s Letters,

TCW481S-North Star,

TCW256S- Basket Weave,

TCW478S- Beaded Curtain

I traced the word onto the page….

I filled the letters with a small pattern in the mini sized stencils

I started outlining with distress markers and watercolouring them with a waterbrush.

To do the background, I scribbled colour onto an acrylic block, with the distress markers (which are reactive with water) then wet the area I wished to colour with my waterbrush.  Then I picked up colour with the brush and washed it over the wetted area.  It created a lovely pastel colour which blends in and out with all the colours In the background!

Well that’s my little piece of art for today.  It was really nice to do my entire page while sitting and watching television, keeping my hands busy while watching my favourite shows!

Have a wonderful week!
