Round and Round and Round we go

Hi, Beck BT here today sharing with you a fun backgound I created with the help of The crafter’s Workshop stencils.  I chose various stencils that featured circles in all different sizes.  It was so much fun to watch this come together.  I wanted to layer the different stencils featuring circles creating interest and depth to the backgound.  Here is the layout I created.

I used the following stencils to create this layout:

tcw stencilsAnd here is how the layout came together:

I started the layout with some circles stencilled using Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Whipped Spackle. I then drew and coloured additional circles with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos.

step 3

I added additional circles and more colour and shading with the gelatos.

step 5

I then wanted to accent the stencilled circles and so added some more definition to them with directly drawing with the gelato onto the textured circles.  Here a video takes over to show you how I layered more than one stencil to alter the finished stencilling, additional stencilling and also using stencils to create embellishments.

You can check out my video by watching below or clicking on this link to watch directly in YouTube.

Here are some detail pics of the background and embellishments created with the stencils

I would love to hear how you enjoy layering your stencilling, so please leave a comment to let me know how I might have inspired you to add some stencilling in various ways to your project.

Happy Creating!
