Red White & Blue Card

Hi there,

Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles A (2)

Karen here, sharing a card that I created with the Sketch Grid TCW 456s, Punchinella TCW219s, and Mini Ledger TCW 267s.

I loved how these stencils enabled me to create such a nice background for this card. Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles (2) Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles (3)

I began this card by transferring the star pattern from the Punchinella stencil using broken china distress ink, fired brick distress ink and the foam tool. Using the foam tool offered more flexibility and control over the depth of the ink. Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles (4)

Next, I transferred the Mini Ledger pattern onto the cardstock by using vintage photo ink and the foam tool.

I then transferred the sketch grid pattern using white paint and a sponge. Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles (6) Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles (7)

Next, I embossed my cardstock and enhanced it with walnut distress ink. Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles (11) Red White & Blue Card The Crafter's Workshop Karen Jiles (10)

I added some white paint randomly using the Sketch Grid stencil and added white paint to the edges.

Lastly, I accented a red card base with a Sketch Grid stencil using white paint and then layered the card together.
