Kids Craft on a Budget

You have one The Crafters Workshop Stencil
Ronda Palazzari Designs 12 x 12 ~ Texturized,
no other “scrappy supplies”, $25 and
a project to create. WHAT do you do?

With no LSS to shop at,
and no other “crafty store” I headed to Walmart,
Looking for supplies for a “KIDS CRAFT” .

This is what I came home with.

Kids Kraft by Lynne Forsythe

I began by removing sheets of Kraft paper
from a 8.5.x 11 paper pad.
Using 4 different acrylic paints, a spouncer,
and my Ronda Palazzari Designs 12 x 12 ~ Texturized
template, I let the fun begin.

il_570xN.569209479_dl26I LOVE this template, there are 8 different images
to choose from which is AWESOME!

I applied the acrylic paint through the
template choosing a different image for each color.

When the paint had dried, I measured out the cards
(Doesn’t every girl have a tape measure on their key chain!)
6.75” x 9.5”, cut to size and folded in half.

NOTE: I make my cards slightly smaller than the standard greeting card
so they fit easily into the envelop, because I don’t know
how to make flat cards!

I created a flower patterns and cut out burlap flowers.
I then created 2 different size leaves patterns
which I cut from a piece of patterned paper.
I then cut 3.5” circles from additional
sheets of patterned paper, which I in turn cut into a spiral,
keeping the spiral thin so the flowers wouldn’t be
too thick!

I crumpled up the burlap flower. I stapled the ends of the various leaves
and I rolled up the spiral into a flower,

Then I compiled the cards using the various embellies I had purchased.
Here they are….

Your kids can put their cards together as a gift or
send a note to a friend or a family member!

I hope you enjoyed my “Kids Craft”!!

I think I will put all my “goodies” into a box and send them to my niece for
her to create with over the summer! Can’t wait to see what she makes!!!

THANKS for poppin’ by!!
