Cards with metal dies

Hello, Sanna here today. I like to create cards in advance for different occations. I keep them in a box at home and that is my go-to place when in need of a card for a special occation.

I really like the Metal Dies as they the perfect size for cards. Here are four different cards I created with the dies.

Life is good - Sanna LippertSONY DSCFor this card I first created a misted multitoned background, then stamped some stars with a black ink over the misted paper and finally added the “Solace” die cut pattern over it all. The sun in the middle was exactly the right size so I made it a centerpiece of the card. Then I just added the sentiment.

Happy Birthday - Sanna LippertSanna Lippert - Happy birthdayThis card is made using the same ideas and techniques, I just changed the colours and left the die cutted white paper uncolored. I used the “Dots” metal die for this card. Next I just added a bold sentiment in the middle of the card and some small embellishments for additional detail.

The upper part is cut using the “Circle Dots” metal die. Some ribbon and a small enamel heart are the only extra decorational elements on this one.

Then I made yet another background pattern with spray inks and stamps and glued the two pieces together. Next I chose matching glitter glue colours and covered the circles with glitter glue. When the glue was all dry I added a sentiment banner and tucked a little blue flower behind it.

I hope you get inspired to create some layered, die cut cards yourself! Have fun!!!
