You’re Simply Craftastic Mixed Media Journal

Hello friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far. Today I’m sharing this super fun art journal I created using a variety of stencils, stencil butters and the newest Full Size Journal Die from Sizzix that Eileen Hull designed! After playing with the kit that Eileen sent to me to play, I had to buy it! You can use it for all kinds of different journals. I decided to make a crafty journal to sketch out my ideas etc.

Disclaimer: “The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with products to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.”

To begin, I taped down the TCW840 Sun Valley stencil to the mat board to prevent the stencil from slipping.

Next, I used a variety of inks and a blending brush to color in the images.

I repeated the exact same process using the TCW948 Framed Flowers stencil. I love this stencil so much! It’s so pretty and I couldn’t wait to play with it!

Once I was finished blending in the images, I used a strong double sided tape to bind the book together and elastic string to hold the A5 journals inside the book.

I ordered some A5 Kraft journals on Amazon real cheap and altered them using stencil butters and some more of my favorite stencils!

I must say, this process was super therapeutic for me. I covered the front and let it dry before completing the process on the other side of the journal. For the covers, I used TCW948 Framed Flowers, TCW935 Secret Garden and TCW936 Messy Writing Stencils along with stencil butters Fuchsia, Turquoise, and Gamboge.

Here are some photos of the complete journal. This journal makes my heart so happy!! What do you think?

Thank you so much for visiting today!
