Mix It Up Pillow by Tami Sanders

Hello! Tami Sanders here with a project to share with you featuring a fabulously-funky template from Ronda Palazzari Mix Tape {TCW401}.

I am a child of the 80’s, so I love Ronda’s retro inspired cassette tape design. It’s perfect for adding a touch of vintage to your decor.

This pillow was put together in 4 sections, each measuring 7″ square and inked with the Mix Tape 6″ template in different colors on unbleached muslin…

The inks used are from Clearsnap — ColorBox Crafter’s Inks, which are permanent on fabric when heat set. Sweet Pea and Fire were used for the red section, Aruba and Wave for the blue, Purple and Spiced Plum for the purple section and Limon and Jungle for the green. All inks were applied and blended using the ColorBox Stylus & Tips.

Stitch the red and blue sections together at the side, then do the same for the purple and green sections. Then stitch the 2 horizontal rows together to make the pillow front.

Back the pillow with denim cut from outgrown jeans, stuff with stuffing salvaged from an old pillow {or you can even use plastic grocery bags} and add a vintage button at the center to finish.

I love the crisp clean lines you get from The Crafter’s Workshop templates; it’s like having your own silk press! You can create professional looking projects, quickly, easily and most importantly, inexpensively!
