I spotted this post by Karenliz and just had to share. Not only is her work beautiful (and of course she uses our stencils!!) but she’s fun to read too!  Here’s her post using Circle Explosion (TCW278) and Cornflowers (TCW375):

“AGAIN Stencil aliens took me over the other night. They took me over so much that I never took step by step pictures of how this piece developed.  You can see the aliens first creation HERE. I was so involved that I lost all track of time and if my house collapsed around me I wouldn’t have noticed. That’s aliens for you!

I love all the bright colors and the layers on the piece. I tried to draw my own flowers so I can cut my own stencil but I really can’t draw. I do keep trying over and over. My mother and brother were artists but I didn’t get the drawing side of it.  Stencils and rubber stamps are my friends in my art room. You can use them in so many way.

There are so many new stencils coming out that I’m afraid I will be visited by stencil aliens over and over. So stay tuned!

Thanks so much for stopping by!”

Martha Richardson has a real love affair with our templates and Tattered Angels Sprays.

Tattered Angels Paint Mediums Used on above tag:

Glimmer Mist in Key Lime Pie & Pearl

Glimmer Chalkboard in Fairway & Calypso

She took 3 of her favorite templates:

And then went to town with them.  Here’s what she writes:

“I often talk about MOP TAGS, these are manilla shipping tags that I use to mop up any excess mist and I save them for future use. I have two tags created from these Mop Tags and stenciled watercolor paper.

“The above photo shows the back of the tags where I added the left over pieces, the watercolor paper that I use and more stencils & it’s matching MOP TAG!

My second project is part of a monthly challenge created by 3 fabulous artists called THE WHATEVER’S, based on creative storytelling. If you want to know all the specifics you can find all the info. here at Nathalie Kalbach’s blog or here at Catherine Scanlon’s blog or here at our very own Tattered Angel, Vickie Chrisman’s blog! I was intrigued by the concept and spent sometime thinking about the story I wanted to create. I knew that a piece of old wallpaper would be the base for my 1st page/story and of course this could only be created with Tattered Angels.”

“Tattered Angels Paint products used:

Here is the finished page and you’ll be able to read my story about The Whatever’ here.”

Thanks Martha! Absolutely beautiful!!  Click here to read her blog.

Martha Richardson has been a longtime groupie of ours. So I was so happy to find her blog post showing how she creates papers that she later uses in her layouts and projects.   Here is a photos of some of her background papers just waiting to be cut by her Vagabond and Sizzix dies.

Stencil Organizer with Ronda

Ronda Palazzari created this video because so many people saw her previous post about her stencil organizing system.

The video below is a Two-fer.  Not only do you get to see Ronda’s stencil organizing system, BUT you also get to see how she created this gorgeous binder cover (above).  If you just want to see how to use every stencil and tube of paint you own, fast-forward to the midway point.  Enjoy!!
