Sunflower Mandala | Art Journal Page

Hi there arty friends, it’s Jeanine here from My Arty Heart and today I’m going to show you a real easy and quick art journal page you can easily recreate.

I have a full video tutorial for you on YouTube that you can view here:

——————————–

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

——————————–

This project was created in an A5 size Dylusions journal, and it started out with a background that already had some paint on it from cleaning off stencils and my brayer.

After adding some Dina Wakley Paints in Marine, Peacock, Sedona and Cheddar with my finger, it looks like this…. LOVE THESE COLOURS!!

Next I am adding some texture with my stencils and I am using TCW829 – Heartful Flower 12 x 12 with Dylusions paint in Laid back lilacIt looks like this once the contrasting purple is applied:

Now I want to add some pops of white, and I am using TCW Heavy body Acrylic Paint – Spun sugar, with TCW857 Sunflower mandala 12 x 12.  You will notice that I didn’t use the entire stencil, but rather only parts of it.  That’s what makes stencils so versatile.

I always like to journal on my pages, so I will do my journaling today around the middle round stenciling.  This adds some interest and makes it more your own.

I also used the stencil to and outlined the white with a liner to make them stand out.

I am now adding some heart collage tissue paper from Dina Wakley, and they look like they are sort of falling down which I really like.  I use TCW Matte Gel medium to apply them.So I hope you guys enjoyed this page and got some inspiration for your next project.
