Making Jewellery with a TCW Twist.

Howdy bloggers, Lisa here with a TCW update. I’ve been playing with Shrink Film, and creating my own unique jewellery, using some fabulous new 2019 winter release TCW stencils.

So I’m new to this medium, so I had a little play, using 2 different colouring agents ..lets start with alcohol inks which produced the best results. The shrink film is plastic and is easy to stamp and draw upon with  permanent ink.

Out comes a few TCW stencils, which I inked the stencil detail to the film, using a foam dauber.

My stencil selection included TCW832 ScriptWords , TCW841 In my Heart,

Stencil used on the gel plate plastic sheet include TCW780 Botanical Dream , TCW849 Butterfly Reflections , TCW848 Pineapple, TCW830 Dash Triangle .

I also attempted to use some acrylic paint, as I had watched a tutorial prior to use and well, lets just say, it’s best to stick with the Inks. I do appreciate the texture, but the paint just shrank and bubbled on the film, leaving the overall look a little distressed and second rate. But it was a great learning lesson and a still very usable for those that appreciate trinkets with a grungier appeal.

Once I baked the plastic,a few jump rings, earring hooks and Leather strips we have a few new pieces to add to the jewelry box.

Big thanks to Miss 20 for modelling our new TCW Jewellery.

Thanks so much for dropping by the TCW blog today, I’ll be back in no time at all with another TCW update.

Lisa xx
