Art Journal – Adventure

Hello Everyone, Farrel here to share another art journal page I created using some of the older 6×6 stencils. When I started my art journal entry, I didn’t really have a clear idea on what I wanted to do but decided to just go with the flow and see how it turned out. I find a lot of the time I over think what I want to achieve and it was nice to just let it go. So with that said, this is what my “let it go” looks like.

I’m not sure about you guys but I have a lot of pages in my art journal where I test new products. I wanted to start covering those pages with new projects and this is how I do it. I start by painting TCW9002 Black Gesso all over the page.

Once the black gesso is dry I then apply 2 different coloured shimmer sprays. Against the black these sprays just “pop”.

I used a heat gun to dry in between both colours. Next I used TCW9014 Iridescent Silver Heavy Body Acrylic Paint with TCW267s Mini Ledger 6×6 stencil. I used a sponge dauber to apply the paint to the page.

Once the paint was dry I then mixed another spray with TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste to create a light brown tone.

Next I applied it through TCW454s Mini Specimens 6×6 stencil. I only used the round patterns on the stencil.

I used my heat gun to dry the stencil areas. I love how the paste took on on some of the colours from the sprays. To finish off the page I added some stamped images and splattered with a white spray.

Thanks for dropping by
