Hello and happy Friday!!! Farrel here and today I am sharing a mixed media layout I created for a very dear friend of mine.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
The papers I used for this layout is the Rosalee range by Penelope Dee. I started off layering my background with plain black and white cardstock, corrugated cardstock and patterned paper.
I used a make up sponge and TCW9001 White Gesso to lightly cover the corrugated cardstock to add a little bit of softness to the layout.
Next I stamped the background with a script stamp and black archival ink. And also stamped the stitches around the edges using Plum archival ink. Next I mixed TCW9004 Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Magical Shakers – Autumn Maple Crimson to create a pink paste.
Before I applied the paste and adhered my patterned paper to the background, I measured where the paper will be sitting on the layout. I did this so that I knew where to stencil.
Then I applied the mixed paste to my layout using TCW781 Scrollwork stencil in the 6×6.
Next I covered my chipboard mannequin with TCW9002 Black Gesso and once the gesso was dry, I then applied Therm O Web Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive.
Once the adhesive was tacky I then rubbed on Rebehak Meier Mixed Media Transfer Foil Sheets – New Penny.
I then inked my Penelope Dee chipboard title and leaves using archival ink and painted my flowers using the same magical shaker I used for the paste.
Then I adhered all the elements to my layout using a liquid adhesive.
Thanks for dropping by and I look forward to sharing my next project with you all soon.
