Easy Peasy Mixed Media Canvas

Hi Everyone!!! Today I’m going to show you how you can create an easy mixed media canvas. First these are the supplies I used: TCW800 Laurel Wreath, TCW736 Dramatic Floral, TCW Grecian Gold Modeling Paste, Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic Paint in Cobalt Teal, and Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint in Prussian Blue Hue.

To start I painted my 6×6 canvas with Cobalt Teal paint and dried it with my heat gun. I painted over it with Prussian Blue Hue, put the Dramatic Floral stencil on top of it and used a baby wipe to take off the excess.

When I finished it looked like this. I love the look and this technique.

Using Grecian Gold Modeling Paste I added the Laurel Wreath.

Waiting for it to dry, I added Grecian Gold Modeling Paste on a metal heart and heat dried it. Then added some blue to the heart and let it dry. Using TCW Gel Matte Medium I attached it to the canvas.  Here it is finished.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. You can see all the new stencils and Mixed Media Metallic Modeling Pastes on Scrapbook.com.

We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook page, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
