From Art Journal to Tea Bag

Have you seen tea bag art? If you haven’t just google it or you can find many examples on Pinterest. I love tiny art so I decided to take one of my art journal pages and create it on a tea bag.

Here is my art journal page and you can see more HERE.

I have round tea bags at home so I started my adding the stencil to the background in white paint. I was so excited to try this that I forgot I used a napkin to start the background but I continued anyway.

I added the blue paint to the background.

To finish it I added the sun in TCW Heavy Body Paint in Iridescent Gold and the branches in Antique Gold Modeling Paste. The little butterfly I found in my stash of scraps and repainted it.

I had so much fun recreating my art journal page. I think my next adventure will be one of my paintings.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. You can see all the new stencils and Mixed Media Metallic Modeling Pastes on Scrapbook.com.

We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
