Truth cards

hello everyone

March 8th marked International Women’s Day and for the second year in a row I had decided I wanted to make some truth cards for some co-workers. I wanted them to be a little different from last years so instead of using ink and stamps I decided I would dig out my Gel Press, paints and TCW stencils.  (this is me creating in my little nest in front of the TV)

Please note that although i have received some of the products used to create this project from some great companies, the opinions I share are solely my own.

so I started out by just layering paints onto the gel press and pressing different pieces of paper onto it to get a good covered background. I also added some variation by using some stencils along the way. so much fun playing that i may or may not have made quite a few extra just saying

once all these sheets pulled from my gel plate were dry i then cut them up into card size bits

i then inked the edges using black paint and then layered my cards with a random truth. now i was ready to assemble.

for each card i added a strip of paper down the side, tissue tape, and some random stencilling. i then took the cards and laminated them to protect them.

and here i was left with 30 truth cards to be handed out yesterday during International Women’s Day.

here are a few of my favourites.

i sure hope that everyone who receives/received one this year that the message was exactly what they needed to hear.

until next time my friends,
