Hi everyone, Heidi here, today I would like to show you a set of wedding cards. The new 2018 TCW Metallic Modeling Pastes just have the perfect colour and shine for these kind of cards and the stencil I used today shows delicate elements that are very suitable for this sort of occasion.

To get my cards started I cut strips of white card stock slightly larger then the design on the stencil that I wanted to use. Then I applied the Metallic Modeling Paste over the stencil design using a palette knife and using a different colour on each of the three strips that I created this way.
For today’s card I used the following colours of Metallic Modeling Pastes: “Copper Penny“ (TCW9029), “Antique Gold“ (TCW9028) and “Champagne Gold“ (TCW9026) and the designs are from one of the beautiful new 2018 TCW stencils called “Ornate Borders“ (TCW785s).
These new Metallic Modeling Pastes come in a total of 8 colours: 4 warm tones and 4 cool tones and they are all delicious! They have the perfect consistency and they dry beautifully.
After the Metallic Modeling Paste had dried I fussy cut the designs out using my Fiskars scissors and leaving a small white border around the design.
Next I decided on my background colour and black was the one that appealed to me the most, it compliments the colours of the Metallic Modeling Pastes beautifully and also provides the contrast that I was looking for. I die cut a panel from black linen textured card stock using a stitched rectangle die. I also die cut a slightly larger white rectangle mat from some white linen textured card stock. These two panels I adhered together using liquid glue.
For the first card I adhered the three strips that I created earlier to these combined panels using one millimetre thick foam tape and after the three strips were adhered I cut of the parts that were hanging of outside the white mat. These pieces I adhered on the lower part of the card also using one millimetre thick foam tape the way you can see in the finished card. Everything that was hanging over the edges after I cut of.
On my second card I adhered the strips next to each other, only turning one strip up side down.
Now it’s time for the sentiment. For this I choose one of the sentiments from the Kennedy Grace Creations “Grace’s Little Note“ stamp set that I stamped on some crème coloured card stock using Versafine “Onyx Black“ ink and my MISTI. Next I die cut around the sentiment using the smallest die in the My Favorite Things “Slanted Sentiment Strips“ die set. I also die cut a second banner from some Grafix Arts “Vellum“ using the largest banner die in that same My Favorite Things die set.
These two banners I adhered together using see through tape runner and I adhered the combined banners to the card using two millimetre foam tape for the first card and tape runner for the second card. I folded the banners around the back on the right hand side and adhered them there using regular tape.
To finish these elegant cards I only had to mount the panels onto a craft coloured card base using one millimetre thick foam tape!
