Journal Musing with Karenliz

Hi Everyone! Today I have an art journal spread to show using a new stencil called Journal Musings (TCW768) designed by Rebekah Meier and the new metallic modeling pastes.

Here is a look at the stencil I used.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

To start my art journal spread, I added a napkin from my stash to the pages using TCW Matte Gel Medium.

I waiting for it to dry and then I added a wash of white paint to both pages and then added the branches from the stencil to the background using white paint.

To add a little color, I added the writing from the stencil to the pages in blue. Then I used shades of yellow to add the sun to the pages but when it dried I added TCW Heavy Body Paint in Iridescent Gold to the sun for some shimmer.

My favorite part of the pages are when I added the new Antique Gold Modeling Paste (TCW9038). I love these metallic pastes. They are so creamy and the colors are amazing. The best part is that you can actually use them as thick paint to add metallic details on your projects.

To finish the pages I found a butterfly in my stash and painted it to match the colors. Here are my finished pages.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. You can see all the new stencils and Mixed Media Metallic Modeling Pastes on Scrapbook.com.

We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
