A Simple Holiday Gift

Hi Everyone! I can’t believe it’s December already. As I create handmade gifts for the holiday, I try to think of what I can create that’s winter based and not something you would only put out for the holidays.

Today’s project I created wall decor or it can just sit on your table. I found a 6×6 wooden pallet and decided not to paint it and collage some paper pieces to the bottom with TCW Gel Medium and let it dry. I then used Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive here and there on the collage and on the wood itself. I let it dry overnight and used my fingers to burnish Rebekah Meier Designs Mixed Medial Transfer Foil in Old Gold.

In my box of bits and pieces I found a little deer to add to my project. I added a few little spots to the deer and a few snowflakes from the Snowflake stencil (TCW720). I cut out of paper by tracing the deer to add a mask to the pallet so I would have a spot for to add the deer. I then added snowflakes to the background with TCW Light & Fluffly Modeling Paste. While the paste was still wet I sprinkled it with glitter.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project.

The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I adhered the deer and it was finished. I love the monochromatic color palette. Here is the finished gift.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums. You can share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.
