Hello Crafters!

Today I want to show you how I made this Mixed Media ATC duo using just a stencil and Fluffy modeling paste.

Supplies needed :

• TCW752 Graffiti Kisses
• TCW9001 White Gesso
• TCW9011 Matte Gel Medium
• TCW9004 Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste
• TCW9017 Lemon Custard Heavy Body Paint 4 0z.
• TCW9016 Spun Sugar Heavy Body Paint 4 0z.
• TCW9015 Black Licorice Heavy Body Paint 4 0z.
• TCW9020 Raspberry Sorbet Heavy Body Paint 4 0z.

As you might know I love working on small surfaces and ATCs are one of my favorite things to play with. I, as always, started my background by covering it entirely with a book page. Many of you asked me why I do that, it is simple. It gives me a solid textured background to build from. I do not pay attention to what the word on the paper says, i just put it there to create interest and movement.

I used gel medium to glue it down and then with a spatula I partly covered it with gesso. I did this for two reasons – first because i wanted to tone down a bit the background, second because partly covering the background it leaves part where I can still see the text, but it is just not too overwhelming.

Then I took the heavy body paint and with my finger I spread the color all around the ATC. I also blended a little the two colors together to create a lovely orange shade.
I set aside to dry and then I applied the Fluffy Modeling paste though the stencil. I LOVE the fluffy modeling paste, it is so easy to apply.
I also love this stencil it is perfect for backgrounds.

I set aside to dry again and then I stitched around the border to give the ATC a more complete look.
With the white I went over the stenciled images just to highlight them a bit and with the black I added some shadows around the border.
