Shadow Stenciling with Deco Foil using the new Celtic Design Stencil

Hi, It’s Gracie Chavez and I’m back with a new tutorial. I’ll show you how to easily achieve a shadow stenciled effect using Deco Foil.

Shadow Stenciling with Deco Foil and TCW Stencils by Gracie Chavez

Products used to make this project were sent by The Crafter’s Workshop and Therm O Web.
All opinions shared on this post are my own.

To make this background, just follow these easy steps:

Step 1. Use TCW732 Celtic Design Stencil to apply Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink to a white card panel.

Step 2. Next, shift the stencil to the left just a little bit and apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel to the card panel, using a palette knife. Let the gel dry completely until it is clear.

Step 3. Cover the stenciled card panel with Copper Deco Foil Transfer Sheets and run it through a laminator.

Step 4. Optional – Apply some ink spray to soften and blend the background on some areas.

Now all there is to do is embellish the background. I used digital stamps to get the same copper foiled finish from the background. With digital stamps all you need to do is print them on a laser printer, cover them with Deco Foil and run them through the laminator. I colored the flowers with watercolor markers and added a banner with an inspiring verse.

I am loving TCW’s new stencils and Celtic Design could be one of my favorites! Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial! For more ideas and inspiration make sure to subscribe to this blog’s newsletter. If you try out this technique do share your projects with us on social media so we can see it too!

That’s all for now. Until next time!
