New 2017 Summer Stencil called Canna Lilies

Hi Everyone! Karenliz here!
I want to welcome the new Design Team Members and wish them success and fun during their term with The Crafters Workshop. You can read all about them here.  I wish those leaving the best of luck in all their new art adventures.

Today I’m so excited to show you one of the new 2017 Summer Stencils called Canna Lilies (TCW724). It’s gorgeous. Love it!!!

With a piece of Yupo (11×14) I’m going to show you a real easy way to create a beautiful piece of art you can frame.  You can use a piece of watercolor paper or mixed media paper whichever is your favorite. My favorite is Yupo.

I started by using acrylic paints on a sponge to add the stencil to the Yupo.

I just continued adding the stencil to the Yupo with acrylic paints in pastel colors. Remember to flip over the stencil and use the other side. It changes the direction of the stencil design.

Remember there are two sizes; 6×6 and 12×12 so use both sizes. You can see that I used the smaller stencil around the bottom.

From here I was going to stop and add more details to the flowers but I dropped a stamp on the piece.  To hide my mistake I added a few words and outlined the letters in white.

Here is the final piece.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you enjoyed this easy tutorial.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

We would love to see what you create with The Crafters Workshop Stencils and Mediums.
You can share it with us on our Facebook pageInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest using hashtag #tcwstencillove.
