Creating Colorful Custom Envelopes – New Summer Stencil Release!

Hello and happy weekend!  I am super excited to share my latest project using a couple of the new Summer collection of stencils!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

I finally bought an envelope punch board and decided to stencil a design on cardstock, before making it into an envelope.

I adore this oversized Dahlia print and used almost a dozen different inks to cover an entire 12×12!After the ink dried, I punch out a small, square envelope.

I used thin, double sided tape to adhere 3 of the sides to create my envelope.

I was inspired from seeing Kristina Werner do a similar project.  She painted an area to address the envelope, although I believe with black watercolor or ink.

I used our Black Gesso and deliberately left the edges messy.
While the gesso dried, I used a small piece of the wood grain stencil to make quick background for a card.Card finished, and I used the Gold Gesso, watered down a good bit, and a tiny paint brush to write the address in gold over the black.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to layer some stenciling for your scrapbook pages. Be sure to share your creation on social media, tagging TCW!
