TODAY IS THE DAY – AN ART JOURNAL PAGE

Hello folks, Nancy here, and welcome to a tutorial for an art journal page using heavy body acrylics and great new stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop.

If you live in the Northeastern United States, you know that this has been the dreariest, wettest, coldest Spring in recent memory. The days of warmth and sunshine have been few and far between…VERY far between. But each day, each week, I think…”today is the day”…the sun might shine; it might really feel like Spring. An eternal optimist, that’s me. Even as I write this there are gray skies and a steady drizzle…again.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.

Use water to thin the heavy body acrylic paints and apply to journal page with foam brush, one color at a time. Blend each color into the page with a baby wipe before adding next color. Dry with heat tool.

Position My Sunshine stencil on journal page. Secure with masking tape. Load a foam applicator with black ink and apply to stencil. Follow the “rule of threes” and place three images from the stencil onto the journal page.
