Greetings crafty friends! Kim here with you today sharing a brand new canvas (I’m a little obsessed with creating canvases lately!) featuring the Stained Glass Daisies stencil. I was really inspired by this design to create a tiled mosaic look, and the combination of TCW acrylic paints, modeling paste, and gloss gel medium was perfect!
I love the TCW paints because they are so thick and creamy, enabling me to easily cover the modeling paste with only one coat of paint. And the modeling paste takes the paint so well and provides amazing texture. Lastly, gloss gel medium…it’s not just a glue! The high shine of the dry gloss gave the canvas the shiny look of tile, see below.
This was a quick project, but one that can be easily recreated using any stencil and coloring medium. I learned a few things along the way and filmed a video of my creative progress so I can share some tips and tricks.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and inspired to create your own mosaic masterpiece!
