The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own.
Supplies Used:
corrugated cardboard/lightweight cardboard
140 lb watercolor paper
paintbrush
TCW669 12″ x 12″ Literary stencil
TCW686s 6″ x 6″ Julie’s Words stencil
fluid acrylic paint: robin’s egg blue, citron
foam brush/applicator
baby wipes
Inktense blocks
acrylic ink: golden rod
mini-mister
Glimmer Mist: French Lime, Party Pink, Pop Rocks
masking tape
Staz-On ink: Jet Black
fluid chalk ink: chestnut roan, deep lagoon

Cut corrugated cardboard to 9″ x 12″ and dry brush with white gesso. Tear edges of lightweight cardboard to just under 9″ x 12″. Dry brush outside edges with white gesso.
Tear watercolor paper to same size and coat with clear gesso to seal the paper.
Apply robin’s egg blue acrylic paint with foam brush and blend with baby wipe. Let dry. Add citron paint in same fashion.
Add color with Inktense blocks activated with water. Apply to top of watercolor paper and allow to drip.
Spritz acrylic ink via mini-mister.
Add more color with spritzes of Glimmer Mist.
Position Literary stencil over watercolor paper and tape to work table below. Mask off any unwanted areas of stencil design.
Apply Staz-On ink to stencil design with foam applicator.
On lower right of piece position “MAKE ART” phrase from Julie’s Words stencil. Apply Staz-On ink. Ink outside edges of watercolor paper with deep lagoon fluid chalk ink.
Ink outside edges of corrugated and lightweight cardboards with chestnut roan fluid chalk ink.
Using TCW matte gel medium as an adhesive, adhere lightweight cardboard to corrugated and then stenciled watercolor paper on top, just a bit offset.
