Hello crafty friends! Kim back with you today to share a jumbo sized card (5″x5″) featuring a jumbo sized butterfly. (Hey, I know this is technically a moth stencil, but the thing is, I don’t like moths so to me…it’s a butterfly! LOL!)
My card base was created using a piece of art that my son made using modeling paste and ink sprays. He had a great base going and I just added a bit of stenciling, gesso, and paint to create a background that paired well with my “butterfly.” I also used the new Distress Oxide inks and Wendy Vecchi’s Clearly for Art to create my 3-D butterfly…ahem, moth. I made a video that takes you through my creative process, even showing you how to fix those creative “mistakes” that sometimes pop up as you travel through the creative process. I hope you enjoy!
