HAVE FAITH – AN ART JOURNAL PAGE

Hello folks, Nancy here, and welcome to a tutorial for an art journal page using some great new stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop.

I have a fondness for wild birds and, in turn, a fondness for their beautiful feathers. It was an easy choice to feature, on my journal page, stencils from The  Crafter’s Workshop that so perfectly represent both.

Position Four Feathers stencils, both small and large, masking off unwanted areas with masking tape. Apply TCW Clear Gesso with foam spouncer over stencil designs. Dry with heat tool.

Apply periwinkle blue paint with foam brush over entire surface. The feathers will remain light blue as the gesso acts as a resist.

Tint torn copies of vintage papers with periwinkle blue paint and adhere to page with glue stick.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial and try to use gesso as a resist with your fabulous stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop.
