Flying cat – by ART BY MARLENE

Hi there The Crafter’s Workshop peeps!!

It is me, Marlene, from ART BY MARLENE, ready to share something new! Let’s kick off with a very easy and cute project today! I have been dying to show you my “Flying cat”(TCW692)stencil design. I decided to show you a basic step out on how I made my sample piece for the “Creativation”2017.

HOW TO GET STARTED – STEP 1:

Prime your page with turquoise paint. Lay your stencil over your primed page and secure with masking tape.

STEP 2:

Dab white acrylic paint through your stencil- over the paperboat/hat and the paper plane. The rest can be done with black acrylic paint.

STEP 3:

remove your stencil

STEP 4:

Now go on by painting the “nagative space” around your cat with reddish tones. Don’t worry about the fine lines of the “flight path” of your paper plane….you can add that back in a later stage.

STEP 5:

Use some Neocolor crayons to add some more color to your kitty cat.

STEP 6:

Add some white highlights, also remember to add that “flight path” of your paper plane back!

That was it for today folks!

See you soon with another tutorial!
