Creating Planner Dashboards

Hello there friends!  I am constantly trying to come up with new, inventive ways to use my stencils in every creative aspect of my life.  I decided to make several new seasonal dashboards for my planner using the newest stencils and media from The Crafter’s Workshop!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project.  The opinions I share are solely my own.

I chose stencils to highlight the coming months, focusing on different themes, depending on what our family has going on.

I started by cutting down heavy cardstock sized to the pages in my planner and painting a loose background wash of the Gold Gesso on one piece. While the Gesso dried, I used both sizes of the pineapple in the ‘Life is Better at the Beach’ stencil and Distress Ink to blend a background full of fruit!
The pineapple was so fun to color! For the next dashboard, I used a piece of an acetate scrapbook album page to fabricate a pocket full of sequins for my daughter’s birthday.I taped off the part of this stencil I didn’t want, and used some of the “Blue Jellybean” acrylic with white Gesso and Clear Modeling Paste.  The Clear Paste is going to be one of my new favorites!!I placed a piece of white cardstock inside the to help me size the sheet.
For the final dashboard, I went back to the ‘Beach’ for the hibiscus flowers, again using both different sizes layered on top of each other. Now, back to the first page, the Gesso is tried, and I used the Black Modeling Paste and this awesome mixed font of script and block letters. After it the paste dried, I ran it through my laminator.
I can back over the pineapples and hibiscus with a sentiment in black ink, laminating them as well.

After the paste dried on the acetate, I used my Fuse tool to create the pocket for sequins in this fun insert!

After all the other pages were finished, I punched the holes to match my planner pages.

I am so excited about the way these projects turned out!  I think the bright colors are so fun, but more than that, they are one of a kind!  I hope this inspired you to use your stencils for lots of custom projects!  Thanks for stopping by the Blog today…hope you have an amazing day!
