Spring is in the Air Canvas: Match Up with Canvas Corp Brands

This month we are in a Match Up with Canvas Corp Brands to show you unique ways to use The Crafters Workshop stencils and mediums with a variety of Canvas Corp Brands surfaces, Glimmer Glam Paints and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists.

Don’t forget to see details at the bottom on how you can win a wonderful prize that is worth over $50 in goodies from TCW and CCB.

What I love about Canvas Corp is the raw canvas and gorgeous colors of burlap. For my project I chose to use a piece of Canvas, a paper sheet called Garden Words on Ivory Reverse, the NEW Summer Burst stencil (TCW690), TCW Heavy Body Acrylics (Spun Sugar, Grape Jelly, Black Licorice, Iridescent Silver), TCW Modeling Paste, and TCW Shimmery Goodness.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

First I mixed each paint color with Shimmery Goodness. It lightens the color but adds a glorious shimmer to it. I used a palette knife and added the colors to the canvas.

I continued to add more paint.

The heavy body paints are really thick and creamy and I decided to write into the paint some of the words from the Garden Words paper sheet.

When it dried I added the Summer Burst stencil in white paint. I like to add the stencil design in white so it’s easy to see on the dark background before I paint.

When it dried I painted in the stencil design.

To add more texture, I add more of the stencil with TCW Modeling Paste.

Next I painted those flowers. Cut words from the paper sheet and added them to the top.

It’s only clipped on the top corners and the canvas doesn’t hang straight. I painted a Popsicle stick in black and used TCW Gel Medium to attach it to the back.

As you can see TCW + Canvas Corp Brands products are a perfect match.
