Hi Everyone!
Working all day isn’t always inspirational sitting at desk but lately I’ve been inspired by the desktop backgrounds on my computer. I change them all the time based on my mood of the day.
Here is the one that inspired me.
I love this shot of the mushrooms and what better stencil to use then the Whimsical Shrooms (12×12). I also used Rubberbands Fragment and Mini Circle Explosion.
The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils to create these projects. The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.
I chose these pages because there was already paint on them. I use many of my journal pages for excess paint on my table. I started by adding the Mini Circle Explosion stencil with blue and white acrylic paints.
Because the mushrooms in the inspirational photo are pink, I added shades of pink paint with the Rubberbands Fragment.
Once it was dry, I added all the mushrooms and flowers from the Whimsical Shrooms stencil with modeling paste. I painted everything and added a little more color to the background.
If you look closely I added a white wash of acrylic paint to mute the colors.
Here are the finished pages. I can imagine some fairies enjoying this little mushroom forest.
Have you created a piece of art based on a inspirational photo?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
