Recycled product tag to gift tag

My husband gave me some great product tags from his new water bottles and I couldn’t resist recycling them into fun gift tags!

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.

I started by applying white gesso over the product name and adding some background color with a couple of Neocolor II crayons (Royal Blue and Azurite Blue). I then created my grapes with modeling paste and the Profile with Dots stencil.

  • Neocolor II crayon in Violet rubbed across the modeling paste and then water activated with a brush
  • Used my fingers to apply FolkArt Perfect Purple acrylic paint to each of the grapes
  • Shaded the bottom of each grape with an Inktense pencil in Violet and waterbrush
  • Added highlight to each grape with a white gel pen
  • Shaded around the outside of the grapes with an Inktense pencil in Deep Violet and waterbrush
  • Added a bit more Neocolor II crayon in Azurite Blue to the tag

I then stamped the word “Cheers” onto a piece of cardstock, punched a hole in the top, added some shading to the cardstock with an inkpad in green, and finally, tied on a piece of twine to the top. The “Cheers” tag was then hot glued to my gift tag.

I’m all set for the next time I need a hostess gift! A bottle a wine is always a good idea in my book!

Thanks for joining me today!
