Creating shabby cuffs using stencils

Hello, it’s Leeann here today and I have a fun project to share with you all. This project is fun and also fun for you to include the kids. My girls love it when I make wearable items like this. Part of the process is created by them. Lets take a look  and then get started.

Start with a sheet of canvas and lay flat. Gather together an assortment of THE CRAFTERS WORKSHOP STENCILS and colored mist. Repeatedly stencil and spray until you are happy with the color and stencil layers.

Note: Allow each color to dry so you have bold designs.

Next gather together some fabric’s and lace trims.  Measure your wrist and trim. Cut a strip from the stenciled canvas. This will display at the very top.

Start to piece together by layering your fabric, trims and stenciled canvas. Machine stitch a small elastic strip to one end while you machine stitch all the trims and lace. The next step is to embellish the top with blooms, buttons and  beads.

and the end result… some shabby stenciled cuffs to wear.TCW feb shabby cuffs 5The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with some product to create this project. This post also contains affiliate links. The opinions I share are solely my own.

I hope you have been inspired today to have a play and to make something wearable too!

Thanks  Leeann Pearce for The Crafters Workshop.
