Mini Painting and Squared Scrolls Stencil with Karenliz

Welcome!  One of my favorite creative processes that I love to do is take one of my paintings and figure out a way to create it again but in a smaller size. In my original painting I used the Squared Scrolls stencil to make leaves and I wanted to use it again.

This is my original painting (11″x14″).

To create my smaller painting I started with a 3″x6″ canvas panel. I used DecoArt Misters to start the background.

In my original painting it started out as black lines on deli paper that I just enhanced to create the trees.  I decided to use the Mini Twigs and Berries stencil for a tree. Next I used the Squared Scrolls stencil to create the leaves. Layers and layers.

To add more texture I used gel medium through the stencil.

When it dried it looks like this.

When everything was dry, I added the words Autumns Flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my re-creation of Autumn’s Flowers. Thanks so much for stopping by!
