New stencil designs go off the page…

Hello, Today I have a couple of projects to share with you. And I would like to thank Fairfield World for supplying oly-fun multi-purpose craft material and American Crafts Bazzill for the cardstock. I used these products along with the  brand new stencil designs that were sent to me. Oh I am a lucky girl! Totally in love with the new designs. I think I squeal as I sprayed the inks over the new stencil designs.

So first up I made these storage art bags to help hold some supplies and tools. They totally add some awesomeness to my arty space.

Supplies needed for this project: Fairfield World oly-fun multi-purpose craft material assorted spray inks, stazon ink, sewing machine, sissors, pins.

Stencils used: TCW555 Art Deco Alphabet, TCW559 Triangle Sunburst, TCW570 Woven, TCW562 Shattered Triangles, TCW587 Receipt, TCW588 Moroccan Sun, TCW586 Raven Mosaic,TCW195 Brocade.

Please Note: There are no real measurements in my projects as I make everything up as I go. I use my eyes to measure. I am quite random with my projects and like to share my ideas for inspiration.

Cut a piece from the oly-fun multi-purpose craft material. Lay flat on a table grab your spray inks and stencils and go have some fun.

Here’s what it looks like after I have sprayed. Totally cool…Yeah!

Now before you clean the stencils, turn them upside down and stamp them on another piece of the fabric. How cool is that! No waste. and another cool  stencil/ink design. Allow the ink to dry.

Once the ink was dry I used the stazon ink and stencils to add extra detail.

and the end result after inking and stenciling.

I then layered each piece of my finished design onto another strip of  oly-fun fabric and used this as my backing. I machine stitched around the edges of the finished design. Trimmed the excess off, then use another piece of fabric to create a trim cuff and machine stitched this on, then I machine stitched it all together creating a  cylinder shape and lastly stitching the circle bottom on.

And now onto my next project which is another small sewing one. This time I made a very simply book. Using Fairfield World  oly-fun multi-purpose craft material and American Crafts Bazzill.

As you can see here i am backing this finished design with some of the oly-fun green fabric.

Machine stitch the finished design and backing piece together. Then trim excess.

Using some  American Crafts Bazzill cardstock trim each piece to fit inside the stitched cover. Layer all the pieces of cardstock together and place on the inside of the cover. Find the middle and run a stitch  all the way up and down a few times.

Once finished grab some  ribbon and place it in the middle, of the front cover then zig zag stitch it in place. I like to use extra length in ribbons so that I can wrap these around a few times and tie into a bow.
