Bits, Fragments and Remnants with Karenliz

Hello. I’m going to show you the fun I had playing with Bits, Fragments and Remnants and here is a picture of what all the new ones look like.

You can find them and all the new stencils HERE.

These pictures are actually from a day I just played and created. I was lucky my camera was still in my art room!

I will tell you most of the mediums I used were all over my craft sheet from a previous project. I also tend to use more paint than anything but anything I do here can be done with distress inks and sponges, paint brushes and watercolors, etc., whatever you love to use.

First I pulled out my art journal. I always play in here first before I do anything. I took the Messy Script Bit (TCW2091) and placed in on my page and took a palette knife spread the heavy body acrylic paint on top of it.

I also added some modeling paste.

Look at all the cool texture it created. Love!

Before the paint dried on the bit, I flipped it over and used the other page to take off the excess paint. How could you not love that look?

I finished the pages by added the Pod Remnant, more paint, and added the words from the Mini Live Love Laugh stencils (TCW467s).

You can also take a permanent marker and outline any of them. This one is the Berry Branch Bit (TCW2090). I traced the design on paper and cut it out. By just playing it gave a great idea for this bit. You will see that in another post.

I decided to try this same technique with the Messy Script Bit but I didn’t cut it out.

I wasn’t sure it was going to look okay but boy was I wrong.

I added Color Burst in Burnt Orange by Ken Oliver Crafts and a Bat Doodle stamp from Stampendous and now I have a Halloween card.

Here is the finished card.

This card was so quick, easy and fun.

I hope you liked my play time with Bits, Fragments and Remnants. Did it spark some inspiration? I hope so. Now go and play!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
