Stencil cutouts to decorate you next project…..

Hi there, Lydell here with your today sharing my last project I created using The Crafter’s Workshop Stencils.  I chose this sweet little leaf design, and thought it needed to be a cut out.

I will quickly share how I made the little notebook to go in my Midori Travelers Journal

LQ-TCW-1

I printed out some graph paper on my printer and added a cover piece, then stitched down the centre on my sewing machine to make the booklet.  I measured the correct width to fit my midori planner and trimmed it down with a craft knife and metal ruler to get the cuts straight.

Now for the cover,  This is where my TCW Stencils come in.  I used them in various places inside this notebook, but today I will just share how I did the cover.

LQ-TCW-3

I traced the design with a super fine pencil keeping as tight into the actual design as I could.

LQ-TCW-5

I just used a craft knife, and cut out all the centre sections first so the cut design stayed secure while I cut the outside shape.

Its so pretty!  Love this design!!!

Next I poked holes all around the shape ready for sewing.

LQ-TCW-8

I found some pretty variegated green thread and doubled the strand and started just stitching all around.

So cute!

The little book is for the Challenge group Called “ListersGottaList”  I will share some of the inside pages completes next (such fun creating these lists of memories….but that’s another story!!!

Hope you will give this cute yet easy project idea a try!

Thanks for stopping in
