Embossed Metal Ornaments

Hello! Tami Sanders here today!

Are the holidays sneaking up on you like they are me? I can’t believe the first week in December is done today. How did it get to be December 7th without me crossing MORE off my Christmas to-do list?!

If you are in need of a quick and easy holiday craft idea I might just be able to help you out.

How about making some of these embossed metal ornaments…

These are similar to the Embossed Metal Sugar Skull project I did for Dia de los Muertos, but unlike that project, you don’t have to hand-emboss the designs. You can run the stencils and metal through your die-cutting or embossing machine. Then all that is left is “painting” the ornaments using Izink Inks.

Also like the sugar skull project, these were inspired by painted tin folk art ornaments from mexico…

The Crafter’s Workshop has TONS of stencils, so you are sure to find one or MORE you like to use to make YOUR ornaments. Make them all the same or select designs that reflect the likes of the gift-ee.

Use the ornaments to embellish packages, gift bags or tags. Or use them as part of a homemade card – the recipient can then remove and display the ornament.

I’ve put together a Snapguide that will show you how you can make these ornaments yourself – guide includes step-by-step photos and directions…
