A Fun Way to Use Bits and Fragments

Hi Karenliz here to show you a fun way I use Bits and Fragments. I came up with this idea when someone asked me how to use them. Each Bits and Fragments can be used in so many ways but I find this technique gives me more and more ways to use them.

Bind them together. Yes, that’s what I said. With each unique shape, they can be entwined together to make some interesting background designs. Here is a picture of Balzer Bits – Single Feather and Daisy and Rhonda’s Fragments – Rubber Bands and how I used their shapes to bind them together.

Once I had the right combination, I used a sponge and added black acrylic ink to the Bits and Fragments and then sprayed with water.  Flipped the combined pieces onto my art journal page, sprayed again and repeated. The thing I love about the look is that it’s not perfect. I used acrylic paints and water to add color.  Here is my finished page.

So grab your Balzer Bits and Rhonda’s Fragments and see what background designs you can come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
