Created A Scene with Stencils

Hello! Karenliz here to show you how I created a scene with stencils. I chose to use two new stencils called Koi Pond (TCW499), Sea Bubbles (TCW495), and Core’dinations Core Basics Heavyweight Paper 110 lbs., acrylic paints, and a $5 frame.

My first step was to use the fish from Koi Pond stencil with acrylic paints on the heavyweight paper from Core’dinations.  This paper is the best. It’s heavy weight and it takes a beating. Paint, modeling paste, gel medium, inks, etc.; it takes everything. Once the paint dried, I cut the individual Koi fish out to use in the scene.

When I make a scene in a frame I use the mat too. I used acrylic paints to create water and used the lily pads from the Koi Pond stencil and the bubbles from the Sea Bubbles stencil to finish it.  When creating a scene try to image what it looks like. That’s what helps me.

Now that the background is all set, I add the fish.  Its my little square Koi pond. What makes it perfect, I don’t have to feed the fish!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
