Create a unique background using multiple stencils

Layered-stencils-layout-by-Yvonne-Yam-for-The-Crafter's-WorkshopI love to create a unique background for my layout by using a few stencils…working in the layers one at a time.

I started with some residual Dylusions ink sprays [from a previous project] on watercolour paper. Then I used TCW481 Northstar with Distress Ink in Barn Door to create a random pattern layer.

After that  I used TCW 475 Diamond Lattice with Maya mist in black to create a “frame” layer for my photos. The layers that overlap each other add texture and interest to your background.

Then I finished with patterned paper and journaling on the photos.

You can create so many fun backgrounds by using multiple stencils. Use your imagination and just play!
