My Bleeding Hearts by Karenliz

Hi Everyone! KarenLiz here.

One of my favorite spring flowers are Bleeding Hearts and on my deck I keep one large container full white Bleeding Hearts. When I saw Julie’s Graceful Flower (TCW406) it reminded me of the flowers so I thought I would use it for a journal page.

Using acrylic paints and a credit card I spread the paint all over the page. Once the paint was dry I attached a photo of my Bleeding Hearts to the page with gel medium and then traced the Graceful Flower stencil on the page.

I used acrylic paints to color in the flower and roughly shade it with a Copic marker. I found some word stickers on my table and added them to the page.

Creating journal pages are so freeing and tracing a stencil made me feel like a kid with a coloring book. I loved coloring as a kid and still do. Go ahead trace a stencil and feel like a kid again!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
