so take a look at what Michelle did above. She cut out the lace paper and layered on top of solids as well as our dots. Notice the darker pink shading along the edges and the matching ribbon on the slider!! Peggy's "Miss Orr" page is amazing with all the cut work! It's exactly how I hoped the papers would be used when I designed our Strawberry Lace paper. Oh, and don't forget the white uniball pen using our Doodling Templates. Very elegant! I'm sure you've figured out that Tonya's "book" folds into the adorable "My Furry Friends" tin above. Lots of great detail and dimension. Peggy's "Cherish" layout may look simple, but note how she shaded the edges to pull the whole look together. It really warms it up. (Nice doodling along the edges as well!!) Check out these buttons and flowers. Nice little embellishments that don't overpower the pictures. Look closely at the frames, they are actually cut and folded (there are some great books on how to do this including a few templates (not ours)). Ask your local shop to help you find some!! Pretty layout, right? Now take a look at the detail above, Michelle embossed the paper with our Dot Burst template to give it a little texture. (I've seen the same done with a soft chalk or pastel ink!!) Great look. This 2-page layout has such a nice rhythm to it, plus I like the way she snuck in the journalling on our Lime Journalling papers!! Here's a cool use of our Botanical Templates. Tonya traced then cut/tore the papers and layered them on vellum. Then added a little shading with inks. The whole page really "pops"!! Peggy is amazing with her exacto knife! If you can't see it, she has cut out the swirls in our Lime Swirl papers and then layered it onto rust paper which is then layered onto our Lime Dots papers! Not to mention a whole bunch of swirls and accents using our Circle Circle Dot Dot template. Above Peggy used out Blueberry Pie papers and actually colored some of the circles to give it a more "retro" feel. It also helps pull in the black and white photos. Take a look below to see how she snuck in some hidden journalling! Great stuff. These next two layouts (above and below) are great examples of how you can make a simple layout suing just a few different papers and templates. Nice job ladies!! And one final submission from Peggy. That page is an explosion of color and swirls!! Love it! |
Here are some lovely cards as well. Notice how the designers used their stamps, buttons, flowers, ribbons and rub-ons to turn their paper-obsession into card-making fun. |
